Dear fellow music-lovers,
The well-known British-Canadian poet, Robert W.Service rightly said in his poem
“ Men that don’t fit in“ :
There’s a race of men that don’t fit in,
A race that can’t stay still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin,
And they roam the world at will.
They range the field and they rove the flood,
And they climb the mountain’s crest;
Theirs is the curse of the gypsy blood,
And they don’t know how to rest.
I believe every human being has an innate love to explore and travel new places,witness new wonders and experience new things in life.Who doesn’t want to take a break from the daily humdrum of life and soak in the glory of mother nature?
Well, talking about wanderlust,here’s a piece of composition from me which reveals my love to explore the unknown:
“ The mystical mountains.
The meandering rivulets.
The untrodden path.
The whistling pines.
Calls out to me,
Come to us dear!
They whisper into my ears the deep secrets of theirs,
They lure me to come and have a taste of the air,
The wilderness awaits me with open arms.
The nature presents to me it’s endless charms.”
Most of the readers,reading this blog post would relate to the fact that the pangs of wanderlust can be hard to endure at times(this is coming from an impromptu-trip expert herself). And ,when you hear a song which has all the elements to set you free and literally, give you the goose-pimples ; you would realize that you are born to explore and live life to the fullest.Such was the impact on me when I first heard this wonderful track by Passenger “Young as the morning,old as the sea”.
Michael David Rosenberg, better known by his stage name Passenger, is an extremely talented English singer-songwriter and musician who has won billions of hearts by his unique voice and his amazing compositions.He has undoubtedly left no stones unturned to mesmerize his fans and followers with the music that he has created in his latest album “Young as the morning,old as the sea”.
Trust me friends,this album comprises of songs that can awaken your traveler instincts and gets you backpacking right away! Be it the title track itself,which transcends you to the panoramic landscapes of the European continent or the “Anywhere” track which speaks of how love can take you places beyond imagination.”Somebody’s love” is also along similar lines as “Anywhere” although the music is very different from one another. These are few of my favorites and every other song from this album is equally good.
If you happen to share the same love( just as i do )for travel and music do not wait another moment to listen to Passenger.With a promise to bring to you more amazing music,I take your leave.Let me know how you like the songs in the comment section and show your support by following me.
